The skatepark on Christmas :-)
Christmas this year was small and sweet. What I want to remember about Christmas time this year:
- Christmas playlists on YouTube; especially Lo-fi, Christmas jazz, cozy Christmas (with pretty scenes)
- Listening to The Nutcracker Suite & Christmas albums from Sarah McLachlan, Kacey Musgraves, The Carpenters, Leroy Anderson, She & Him, and the Pentatonix
- The lyrics to "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" and "Joy to the World"
- Reading aloud "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"
- Darren's nightly Bible reading of the stories of Jesus all month
- Making and eating spelt gingerbread cookies with the kids (we ate nearly all of them the day we baked them!)
- Designing and cutting out snowflakes from coffee filters
- Reading from the old "A story a day until Christmas" book from my childhood
It truly one of the most relaxed Christmas holiday's in our family and I look forward to repeating that relaxed coziness again next year.
