Music Round Up 4/28

This blog is my place to keep a little journal of what's been happening in the Colorblind family's lives and today I thought I would highlight what we've been listening to. It seems like it might be fun a year from now to look back and see what we were listening to in spring of 2021.

Here's what has been keeping up moving and grooving so far this spring:

Force Majeure by Justice. We love the French dance music duo of Justice and their newest tune is a great one.

Ok, if you knew me as a teenager in 1997 you might've heard me playing this song on my guitar and singing it endlessly. I love this song! Sixpence None the Richer (original singer/songwriters) was my first ever concert I attended at age 15 in Wichita. This cover puts a big smile on my face :o)

This Brazilian DJ came to us via a YouTube suggestion and she is right up my alley! I could not stop watching her long swingy hair as she played this live set from Australia. She plays awesome beats without a lot of lyrics, and I'm loving less lyrics lately.

Another YouTube suggestion that came up on Darren's account...some Swiss DJ's with an awesome name, haha! This particular video has them spinning their set from a helicopter, which is pretty dang cool.

Nora en Pure was the very first DJ I ever saw live! I didn't appreciate her style back in 2018 when I first saw her, but now I really dig her and her deep house vibes. She is another Swiss DJ and she also has some live sets on YT from beautiful locales such as the Swiss Alps. Great stuff to turn on while you're blogging or working around the house.

This song has serious positive upbeat 80's vibes and it's a collaboration from my favorite DJ. In the past I would avoid 80's sounds, but what can I say, now I dig it!

Last but not least, this song has a bit of a gospel vibe from Don Diablo and JLV and I really, really love this one. Definitely an uplifting spring dance song!

Hope you are dancing through the spring too!!

P.S. Bonus music! I found these two recent collections put together by a couple of my folk rock faves and have been listening to these when not listening to dance music :o) They are really awesome collections of songs of each artist that are grouped together in a new collection--again, right up my alley!
